We are sorry to hear from Radio Pulse that they are going to close down. Unfortunately, whilst the goodwill of volunteers is still there, changes in the way bedside services are provided and the many changes within the hospital has made it difficult to continue to provide the service Radio Pulse has done in the past.

Radio Pulse has been a long established part of hospital life and has provided comfort and entertainment for many patients. Its also allowed individuals to realise a life-long ambition to broadcast as well as providing the first step on the ladder of experience for budding DJs.

The League of Friends is sad to see the service close and acknowledges the volunteers’ contribution to the service the Hospital opened and thanks all who have helped over the years.
