In 2010 we continue to purchase items in support of the hospital, its staff and the patients. So far this year the list looks like this:

April 2010

  • Basket trolley for the Patient Services Office
  • Bookcases and chairs for the LOF coffee shop
  • Aprons for the LOF coffee shop

May 2010

  • Office equipment for wards 11 and 4, including desks and chairs
  • Mobile blood pressure monitor for Urology and Outpatients
  • Continence stimulator for physio/womens’ health
  • Male pelvis section and urinary chart for Uro-oncology

June 2010

  • Non-invasive ventilator system for ward 11

July 2010

  • Combitrac labour aid and accessories for Maternity

August 2010

  • Trolleys and inserts for ward 17
  • Cardiocall recorders for Cardiopulmonary care
  • Wheelchairs for the Porters
  • ECG machines for Cardiology
  • Fax machines for Dept. 6 and CCU
  • Multidrawer cabinets for Macmillan/palliative care

September 2010

  • Exercise cycles for Physiotherapy/cardiac rehab.

  

and we still have three months to go. As you can see, the League of Friends makes a significant contribution to the running of the hospital and the care and support of the patients. This support is mainly down to the League of Friends Volunteers and members.
