New Scanner for Ward 5

When a patient on Ward 5 needed a scan, the staff found themselves borrowing a scanner from the A&E Department.

League of Friends was delighted to help out by funding the purchase of a new scanner, at a cost of just under £20,000.  The new equipment facilitates the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions on Ward 5, whilst ensuring that the A&E Department has a scanner available for emergencies.
