Congratulations to Norman and Dot Wiley, two of our longest seving coffee shop volunteers who celebrate their diamond wedding this month. Norman also collects, sorts and sells all the postage stamps donated to us, raising over£2000 in the last 12 months. Thank you!

Main Entrance Refurbishment

New Co-ordinator

We are delighted to welcome Caroline Reid to our team. She will take over Catherine Marsh’s jobshare position working with Angela Smith. She has been working with the Community Midwives for the past few months, so knows her way round the Hospital, and has enjoyed many cups of coffee in our Coffee Shop!
Co-ordinator moves on

We were extremely sorry to lose our Co-ordinator Catherine Marsh in January. Although she had been with us a relatively short time, she had made a very positive contribution to the League, and had built a great relationship with our volunteers. She left to become involved in her husband’s company, and we wish her well.

League Helps Midwives

One of our recent purchases has been Sat Nav Equipment for the Community Midwives – greatly appreciated not only by the midwives but also nervous fathers-to-be! The family room for the maternity department has also been re-furbished.
